About Steve Charrett

It didn’t start out with card tricks and vanishing money….

While working as a driver for Esso, Steve found himself on holiday in Africa with his good lady wife. Little did he know that this would be the holiday that would be the turning point for his career.

While out for dinner one evening a hired magician was strolling among the diners performing table top magic, enthralling everyone, including Steve, who turned to his wife saying with a boy like sense of wonder ‘this is what I want to do’. Now I’m sure Mrs. Charrett must have rolled her eyes but if she had any doubts as to her husbands’ sincerity in this new venture, they would be quelled.

On returning from holiday Steve was quite decided and threw himself to the task of practice to make perfect, joining magic groups and societies, over time became a prominent member of some and developing prestigious skill. The rest, as they say, is history!

Since becoming a professional magician, Steve has had more than a brush with the stars as well. From entertaining actress Jennifer Love Hewitt during dinner to performing at a party for Emma Bunton, Steve has shared the bill of many a famous name but you’ll have to ask what went on with Jonathan Ross at that awards ceremony!
